Melinda Dee Perrodin was born in Loreauville, Louisiana. She has a daughter, Claire Elizabeth Perrodin, and a deep love for children. Ms. Perrodin was a children's Sunday school teacher at Spirit of Liberty Church, where she is a member, and she wrote and produce many plays and skits, including: Choose Today Heaven or Hell, The Prodigal Son, and The Promised Land. Ms. Perrodin won a Domeangeaux, Wright, & Roy writing scholarship. Melinda Dee Perrodin is a member of Faith Writer and Today Woman.
Currently, Ms. Perrodin is an Early Childhood Teacher for Head Start. Ms. Perrodin taught physics, chemistry, and environmental science at Ville Platte High School. She is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and the University of Phoenix with a Masters in Business Administration.
